Dijkstra was a blogger...

... or would have been. Edsger Dijkstra was one of the most prolific members of the founding generation of computer scientists. Over the course of a forty+ year career, he published hundreds of technical reports - typing, photocopying, and mailing them to colleagues. Not all of his manuscripts were technical... some were about the future of the discipline and a few read like travel logs. Check out the E. W. Dijkstra Manuscript Archive, part of the Center for American History at the University of Texas Austin for access to his manuscripts, or as he called them, "EWDs."

Inspired by Dijkstra, I am going to attempt to be more diligent in capturing my own thoughts on research and other musings as they develop, hopefully inspiring a little healthy discussion along the way. I can only hope to be as prolific as Dijkstra (and as influential).
